Welcome to my blog & February Haul

Welcome to my blog! Here you'll find different make-up products, accessories, and fashion as I discover them. Of course there'll be product reviews, and maybe tutorials in the future.
So a little about me... I'm an aspiring actress living in LA. I'm also a sword fighter, stilt walker, and dancer. The road to becoming a successful actress in LA is no easy task, but I'm lucky to have people in my life who are very encouraging and pushes me to keep going. I try to go on as many audition as I can. Of course, you want to look your very best at every audition. That's where I found my passion for make-up and fashion/accessories! Through this blog, I hope to share my findings with you.

Since this is the first entry, I'll just show you some of the things I hauled in February. I made a YouTube video for the February haul as well so if you want to watch that instead, feel free to scroll down. The haul section will start at 6:47.

Ah yes, the Naked 2 Palette from Urban Decay. I'm sure all of you are tired of seeing this EVERYWHERE! I have the original as well. While I love the Naked 2, I prefer the original. I feel that the warmer tones shows up more on my skin vs the coolor tones of the Naked 2. As you can tell from the picture, I haven't used it all that much... still experimenting with it =)

Top role (L to R): Iced Latte, Eternal Sunshine, Amber Rush.
Bottome role (L to R): Perpetual Purple, Golden Sage, Midnight Blue
L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow is something I'm totally obsessed with right now. All the colors are super pigment-ed. It stays on for a really long time and doesn't crease on me. I've been wearing them almost everyday. The top 3 (in the picture) are the ones I grab for daytime and the bottom 3 I use for more dramatic looks. I didn't feel it was necessary to get all the colors because I do have other eyeshadows I still use, but these 6 makes a good additional to my make-up collection.

in Pink Plum and Plum Wine
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush- I don't own a lot of blush. Usually, I find the one that I like and just keep using it until I need a new one. However, when I saw these in the store, I really wanted to try it. The consistence is similar to the Dream Mousse foundation. I definitely favor the Plum Wine over the pink plum. While it looks very dark, its a lot lighter once applied. It really gives me a pretty glow where as with the Pink Plum I have to apply a little more for it to show up. Not sure if I'm going to continue to purchase these... I find that the colors fade faster than my powder blush.

(L to R): L'oreal Balm in Rose Elixar,
Revlon Lip Butter: Peach Parfait, Berry Smoothie, Lollipop, Cherry Tart, Fig Jam.
The L'oreal Balm I actually got for free! I was in LA when L'oreal promo models stopped by and gave me not one but two! Unfortunately, it's not my favorite. The color Rose Elixar doesn't show up on my lips very much (my lips are pretty pigmented) and I don't see myself buying more in the future, although it is very moisturizing! The Revlon Lip Butter is amazing! It's a sheer lipstick that is also very moisturizing. There are so many colors out there, but there was no way I was able to buy that many lipsticks, so I just picked out the colors I would use. The colors Lollipop and Fig Jam really surprised me. Lollipop is a very pretty, almost fuschia color. It can give you that extra pop of color. And Fig Jam, while it's brown, it still doesn't look very dark. I will definitely continue to buy the lip butter as long as Revlon makes them.

It's been a while since I've used a primer, so I decided to  give the new L'oreal Magic Lumi a try. I'm still a little undecided about it. I kind of feel that it's more of a highlighter than a primer. I know it's "light infused" but it doesn't have that primer feel when I put foundation over it... I don't know. I'm going to have to keep using it before I reach a verdict on this one. They also made a concealer as well, which I hear is similar to the YSL concealer pen.

Well, that's it for my February haul! Here's the YouTube video if you wanted to watch that instead of reading through this very long first entry:
